Burgers and Fun

My son Gary took my mom, sister and I to Arlington, VA. today for a delicious burger (a burger worth traveling 35 miles for.)  Whenever you go some where with Gary its guaranteed you will have a good time and we sure did.  He was our chauffeur, entertainer plus he paid the tab, he is quite the gentlemen.  Even our President knows how good the burgers are.

well Mr P and I are watching him this weekend.  Peppy is not too happy, he doesn't like sharing his toys or Mr P and I.  Right now things are pretty quiet because Peppy and Buddy are napping.  I think they wore each other out fighting over chew sticks and squeaky toys.  Daisy just stays out of their way hoping they leave her alone.  I have a feeling this is going to be a long weekend.

No Place Like Home

I've been back since Saturday I had a wonderful time visiting a couple of cousins and my uncle, mom's younger brother.  We went to the  Mohican (we are related to this tribe) Indian reservation in Wisconsin.  I found out my Great ,Great, Great, Great Grandfather, Hendrick Aupaumut was a captain in the Revolutionary War and was awarded a sword by President Washington. I had never heard this before, so I found it very interesting.  On Friday we went to Niagara Falls it was absolutely beautiful.  We took a boat, the Maiden Mist which got so close to Horse Shoe Falls I couldn't see anything because of the mist from the falls.  All to soon our week was up and we headed home, but you know, there is no place like home, especially your own bed.
 My dog Peppy gave me the cold shoulder Saturday and Saturday night, I guess he was mad because I left him for a week.  Sunday he was back to his ole self again, my punishment was over.

Road Trip

My mom my sister and I are leaving on a small road trip this morning.  I say small because we will be back next Saturday.  It may be small but it will be packed with a lot of fun, the three of us always have a good time when we get together.  We will be seeing some relatives I haven't seen in years.  [ Janie, I may even see Uncle Porky's baby (inside joke) ]

Wisconsin is our final destination with some stops along the way.  I just hope this old body of mine holds out.  I wish I could make Arther stay home.  I know my knees and back would have a better time without him.

Well, I better go drink some coffee and finish packing.  Bye, bye.

Buddy Is Growing Up

Peppy went to Buddy's Birthday party Monday morning.  Instead of cake, Buddy and Peppy's favorite Mc Donald's sausage biscuits were served.  Daisy doesn't like to travel so Buddy had a sausage biscuit sent home to her, isn't he sweet?

In Loving Memory

In loving memory of my neighbor (Free!) on Vox, she went home to be with the Lord yesterday.   I will miss her on Vox and FB.  I wish I had known her in person, I find it kind of strange how close we can feel to someone just through the internet.  She loved the Lord and liked sharing his Word.  I can tell by the responses on FB she touched many lives, she will be greatly missed.  She is indeed Free and in a much better place.
